What famous or well-known people have you met?

Talked to Dan Fogelberg for about two hours at a bar once. Didn't even
know it was him until about halfway through the conversation. Very nice
guy.

Met and talked with Willy Nelson for a while, also at a bar. He was
there doing a fundraiser for a local kid who needed a kidney transplant
or something.

Jimmy Buffet used to go to that same bar all the time and I chatted with
him briefly a few times. He kinda liked to stay out of the limelight and
just eat in peace. Always sat in a corner where he couldn't easily be
seen. Can't say I blame him.

Met the Hagar twins (remember them from HeeHaw?) They used to come into
Walmart all the time when I worked there in the early '80s. Also met
Marty Stewart and Lori Morgan there.

Oh, and of course, Mr. Sam himself...and for anyone who didn't know Sam
Walton, I can tell you, for a billionaire, he was probably THE most down
to earth and unpretentious man alive. He drove an old beat-up pickup
truck, wore "overhalls" and would wait in long lines just like any other
customer.

Met Don King and his son and a bunch of his crew, some of the boxers
(but no one really well known..would love to meet Oscar!)

Was introduced to Selena when she came to record her crossover album
while I was working for a local newspaper. This was about a year before
she was murdered.

And a handful of others I've met over the years who I can't think of
right now, usually via people in the music industry I've known or
because of places I've worked.

All of them were very nice people and you'd never know they were famous
or rich just by talking to them. They were all very friendly and easy to
talk to.

Ummm I don't know, we get so many visitors here, and they like to go out
to the Great Barrier Reef, mostly Australians, and American actors
taking a break from film shoots...

What I can say is all of the American actors, bit male and female, have
been the nost polite and respectful, and interested in my country.

Even the infamous Miss Hilton, was sweet, and nothing like she likes to
portray herself to be.

(and Keanu is a doll in real life)

Too many, some used to have homes in the French Quarters, but a lot of
celebrities are in the parades here and quite a few movies filmed in
Louisiana. You have alot that come here to be treated as just everyday
people and they are.

Was a waitress my senior year in high school and the Harlem Clowns
stopped in on their way to a game - waited on them. Guess that was my
claim to fame.
