Sitting here with my 20 lb Cuddle Bum trying to imagine him at 1 month. 20 lbs.!! That's a big one.  My cat never went over 5 and 1/2 pounds. My Dad said that it wasn't a cat - it's a rat.

He was 23 when I got him & 19 at his last checkup, but he looks a bit fluffy again lately... Dog in the picture is about 15 lbs. |

Well, since your not keeping it, the price of a 22 cal. bullet is a lot cheaper than cat food...
or you can just reach under the kitchen sink, pull out a trash bag, throw in a couple bricks from the back yard, and then the cat. Drive by a lake and toss the trash bag towards the center of it. |

Well, since your not keeping it, the price of a 22 cal. bullet is a lot cheaper than cat food... or you can just reach under the kitchen sink, pull out a trash bag, throw in a couple bricks from the back yard, and then the cat. Drive by a lake and toss the trash bag towards the center of it. I was going to say, "Hi Thomas". But...instead....

boil some water, chop some celery, add a dash of salt dice cat into small pieces JUST KIDDIN.!!!

There are also "emergency kitten feeding kits" at stores like Petco that will have stuff like kitten formula and stuff. If the kitten's THAT young, you might wanna consider that option.
Whatever you do though- DO NOT try to feed it adult cat food while it's still a kitten, as its little digestive system won't handle the content of the food. Go for food meant for kittens instead, and ONLY go for that stuff if it's old enough to eat semi-solid foods. Since you won't be keeping the kitty, you'll wanna think about taking it to a non-kill shelter or rescue center. They'll take the kitty and make sure it goes to good home. Another alternative to try would be to go to your local veterinarian to see if he or she would have any avenues you could take. All the same though- cats make for pretty good pets. I should know, as I had one for the better part of twenty years, and he was the best friend I ever had. He was a "rescued" kitty, too- the original owner didn't want him anymore, and was about to take him to the pound (certain death) until we took him. |

Poor little thing.I have a real soft spot when it comes to animals.Cats are great company and very curious you will find them in the darndest spots.If you have your Christmas tree up be careful of alumiun icles and poinsettias are posionous to cats.

okay, this is going to be a weird post, but I'm feeling compelled to post my thoughts so bare with me.. I started reading through this topic, and the subsequent posts, and I guess my mind wandered a bit, because I sparked an 'inner' debate.. which I typed out as a reply post in this topic(yes, I wrote this header afterward).. it goes as followed...
..begin As William Money once said in response to Little Bill's reference to unjustification, 'Deserves got nothing to do with it.' People should be a little bit harder on animals, you are not put on this earth to cherish these creatures. and critics say television has desensatized people... Truely, there's a bit too much sensativity going around these days. Perhaps it is more a civil concern... like the CONCERN that people are being CIVIL to animals! Is this what society represents in post 2000 A.D.? Where as the fellowship of mankind is secular with bigotry and instutionalization loyalist, the concept of fellowship with primal species becomes the true terminology of society?! Of our society that is. A society of consumers. Now, don't get me wrong.. I've grown up with animals my entire life, and admittingly, I share a strong fondness for cats, dogs, and horses (mostly with dogs and horses). But another part of me sees how sad it is that inorder to cope with and preserve our environment, we feel compelled to own it. Like the good consumers we are. ('good' holding two meanings there, hope you caught that) 100 years from now people are going to be 'saving' insects from the bitter cold winters. how is darwinism going to prevail in the future? are there going to be evolutionary leaps in how CUTE animals will appear, so that mankind will inherit them, in our manner of ownership of course... ON THE OTHER HAND... Mankind has obligations, as only sential beings can have, to the study of, the preservation of, and the utilization of life and all its forms. Some of us even look toward them as our purpose in life. As we pursue a tomorrow, we look toward animals as companions that constantly embrace the moments of today. To those that base mankind on the theory of evolution, that primal state is a reflection of not only how we once functioned, but also a characteristic we still contain today. It is not difficult to see the correlation between mankind and other speices in regards to the existing, and respectfully, unchanged terminology of human society. We are tasked, burdened with the gift of thought, of compassion. ....the end... lol, at the end there I think I started to go poetic a bit.. infact, this whole thing seemed like a creative writing essay of sorts. Opposing perspectives and all.... |

I JUST FOUND A KITTEN AND I WAS WONDERING IF ANY ONE KNEW HOW TO CARE FOR IT P.S IM NOT KEEPNG IT well that would depend on the age of the kitten.if it's still young enough to nurse,go to wal-mart and buy a couple of feeding bottles (they're only a couple of bucks)and get some kitten formula (you might have to ask an employee where it's at)and give it a blanket for a warm place to sleep.it'll need to be fed every couple of hours if it's weaned then just get some kitten food and give it water and a warm place to sleep |
