I went to Co. Christmas party last Sat night, with a date no less. It cost ten bucks, they hold it at a real nice resort close to town. Excellent food and desserts. It was scaled down a bit this year. I did win a $50 slow cooker which I returned today at Kohls. Yay me.
The Co. gives you a check for any unused sick time, a reward for not calling in sick.

56 hours for me, it will be over a grand even after taxes.bigsmile

I work for the biggest health care company in the nation and we don't get a thing. No bonus, no gift. I think last year we got a letter in the mail thanking us for our hard work. The clinic I work at gives us some nuts.

We have a regional Xmas party at a fancy place(Hyatt Regency Cambridge) and we get $100 bonus plus they raffle free things like extra vacation days, and everyone gets a $25 gift card to a store.

This year, instead of just giving us our cost of living raises in July, we are getting the day after Christmas off. frustrated

Usually we have a pretty big party, but this year only a luncheon... They have put a freeze on raises and bonuses, it bites but being laid off would be worse..

Let's see two years ago we had our Xmas party in March. Everyone brought food in. Last year it was held in Feb. Everyone brought food in. This year we're shootin for January. Next year, who knows??
Nope, no bonuses or anything. (Hmmmmm, I wonder if Heathersaysgobucks and I work for different branches of the same company?)
