Ok!!!

Am gonna get my hands dirty here...

*flexes fingers and brushes cobwebs out of brain*

Gender, traditional, as in preconceived and historical veiws.

I live in a young country of white settlers, and yet have been
privileged to walk amongst it's indigenous for over 20 years.

Gender, and tradition. Women as women, gatherers, wise sages and the
crones, traditional elders of their clans. Givers of life, and empaths
with the Earth they tread.

Men as men. Hunters, warriors, protectors of the weak, disabled and ill.
Senturies against threat to their clan. Wise in the seasons, and the
movements of the world around them.

Both integral, to the survival of all.

Tradition, and honoured for their own uniqueness in an ancient and
indigenous community.

Now fast forward to now, and me, here, white girl in the backwater of
nowhere, talk about gender confused...my roles, traditions dictate I am
supposed to be less, soft, a homemaker, nurturer, and gentle, passive.

Except that the err..other gender who was supposed to do the hunting
protecting, and apparently providing, got side-tracked along the way.

So a quandary, survive or not? Pick up the spears, strap on the
loincloth and do my own hunting, and protecting of my clan?

Gender for me?

I have none, am just a human being now, and walk amongst other humans.
