Let’s say you meet a guy/girl online. You start talking on the phone and everything seems to be going great. They have what you are looking for in a mate. But, they come from a completely different background then you. For instance they grew up privileged and you didn’t or vice versa.

Do you think that a difference in backgrounds will eventually ruin the relationship?

I actually prefer a difference in backgrounds. Makes a person more interesting to me.

There are litterally MILLIONS of things that could make a relationship NOT work. Hence why we are all here.
Financial background is not one of them. HOWEVER, if one is "stuck up" about their financial situation or the other is "resentful" then yes there will be problems.

The financial reference was just an example. One person could come from a huge "old school" family and the other be an only child.
