I was coming home today & my car started overheating, luckily very close to my house so I was able to drive it home. Fluids were fine when I checked them this morning & I haven't had this trouble before.

I drove to napa in another car & picked up a new water pump, thermostat & water reservoir cap. I spent my whole afternoon trying to get the damn water pump out which was quite the challenge on this vehicle, especially when your tools suck. I'll have to finish in the morning since the sun went down & I don't have a light.

I don't cuss very often, but I found many f*kcs, sh!ts, and damns, coming out my mouth today. rant Hopefully it will pay off tomorrow when my car runs cool again; I hope & pray it does! If not, next up is the radiator which is nearly impossible to change on this model & very expensive.

Changing the water pump & thermostat probably would have cost me $500+ here in Hawaii; I picked up the parts for $50. I'm glad I know a little.

Who else here HATES cars!?!?!?! I know, I know; they're a nessisary evil. mad pitchfork

There are guys here that just eat and breathe that car stuff. Heck they could have had that work done in a couple of hours, and not swore once.

That being said, I am not one of them. If I never do anything but put gas in my car, life could be perfect.

If I had some decent tools instead of my Walmart special toolset, it probably would have been smooth sailing. I almost finished but ran out of sunlight.

That doesn't sound too bad right now. I have such terrible luck with cars. They don't seem to like me.

If you have a bad coil pack or alternator, I am your girl, but a radiator is too much like work.
