kids can't help it

the suspense is just too much for em

I peeked when I was a kid and my parents got mad and took all the presents I saw back and my Christmas was ruined. I never peeked again

i was smart and sneaky when i was a kid.i grabbed pieces of wrapping paper and tape to fix any holes i made in the already wrapped gifts.

i'm still sneaky,i'm just not that smart anymore indifferent

I don't even care, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I mean, if I've gotten by this long already without it, a few more weeks isn't gonna kill me. I'd rather save the surprise. At least then it's genuine.

I have three sisters, so I can appreciate the "no man's land" concept. My sisters were notorious for sneaking into my roomfrustrated

laugh The tweens are worse than the teenslaugh

Yeah, but to go into thier sisters room noway ...thats like nomans land in there.laugh I did'nt think they would dare..reprecussions can be endless now. They're lucky thier alive after that laugh laugh

I have it easy this year. I gave my son a computer for a birthday/christmas present and gave it to him right before Thanksgiving. No need for him to peek or bother me any more.

I make it easy for my daughter. Her main Christmas present is to be taken to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert, starting a few years ago. She enjoys that very much (as do I), and she looks forward to it every year. Any other presents than that for her, she doesn't get inquisitive about, not for lack of caring, but she's already satisfied and can wait.

My kids (14 and 16) told me recently that they always knew where I hid the gifts and would go in and look. They always looked surprised at Christmas for me. They didn't want to ruin it for ME! Gotta love them!

I still hide their gifts - but now I hide them at work! Everyone likes a surprise!

Nothing better than a gift you can do together. I might steal that idea and find something like that to do with my kids every year. Last year we did Disney on Ice at Christmas time but I didn't even think to make it part of their gift! Might save me some money too.

That is great! My daughter is going to be 20 in 2 weeks ..I'm thinking next year for her 21st B-day I'm going to try to take her to see the Phantom of the opera on stage.
