Losing Time
Now that I look at the clock I remember it I wanted to hold time Cradle time Soothe it to my burdens But time was to versatile To loose To free So free in fact That it flew away Even when I held it to spark Like one holds the breath When seeing a gorgeous man Smile at them And than in a flash He is gone And you never know If that smile was for you Or the cute girls in the corner Giggling behind you, Yet smiles like that don’t come often To people like me, When smiles often mean too much But are never enough To satisfy my needful eyes, My aching heart, My blushing soul.
