This thread is really taking me back to my childhood and penny candy. 
THESE ARE ALL STILL AVAILABLE !!!!accept switzlers licorice now its called by aother name and made in austria - it taste just like switzlers though. |

these are "licorice wheels" - now when i was small there were another version of these called "LICORICE RECORDS" the diff was a small red or black jaw breaker was in the center and made them look like a mini 45 rpm record, we use to unravel the licorice and eat it and then suck on the little jawbreaker taking it out to see the color change - does anyone else remeber these?? |

Say it isn't so! Please note: Discontinued means that it is gone, we do not have any and we don't know where to find it. One person has reported that it was called Bottle Caps... not the current candy by the same name. Another person says, "This was actually a type of pudding. It was a stove-top made pudding and put in the refrigerator to cool with a chocolate topping that hardened as it cooled."
