If you get invited to someone's house for thanksgiving, and they make a majority of the meal... and you bring a dish or a desert... Do you take all the leftovers back with you? Or do you leave them there?
My aunt came to our Thanksgiving and she made pies, and after everyone got a piece she wrapped what was left and put them promptly in her car laugh And then made plates of our leftovers to take home with her. Which we didn't mind that she took some home, we had plenty. But I sure did want another piece of her home made pie later last nightohwell

You should have ask her for a piece. It probably would have made her happy anyways.

Gosh, my brother ate HALF of the chocolate pudding pie and us other six ate the other half. No leftover on that one!!! laugh laugh laugh It's nice to know he still loves that stuff so much.

I was the hostess, and I FORCED that ham and leftover stuff on to my guests in doggy bags!!! laugh laugh laugh There's always too much, and too much of it is too good. But I can only do so many leftovers. I'm okay with moving it out as it will go to waste if I keep it.

Oh yea, there's always plenty of food to be sent home, which is why we make so much. We plan on sending food home. laugh So I guess I hoped that we would "trade" some food for a piece of pie of somethinglaugh no such luck. She made the pies cause she knows my mom does NOT make pieslaugh

usually it all goes to pack homes.. like if you leave last you can take the rest home if any left.. if you leave first you only take some of it if you want along with some of the other food..i never heard of someone packing what they brought to the car first . then coming back to get a plate for theirselveslaugh not without offering it to everyone there firstlaugh

I live near "Mother's Kitchen" they make cheese cake, carrott cake, and German cake for all the resturants on the east coast. They have an outlet store, they are great. Burlington, NJ.

If I take anything to a party I leave it or ask if anyone wants some more and leave some. I normally want to take the container home with me.

That's understandable. I wouldn't blame anyone for wanting their containers back laugh but geeze let us get some first laugh
