Oh goody I went yesterday, against my better judgment, and almost got stuck up there. Talked to the boss later during the day, he said "I have an appointment tomorrow in W Jefferson, (about 30 more miles west) but I'm not going to risk it". HE has 4-wheel drive, I don't..so guess what I'm not going to risk it either! There's some advantages for having stayed with someone 22 yrs! Not much, but some!

Better safe than sorry Cathy I'm learning that. I always feel guilty for not going in, even when I'm sick. Since I'm the only one in the office, it's closed if I'm not there. The door will unlock tomorrow just like it would have done today, right? |

I seldom ever cook, laundry for one, showers for one and I still can hardly get my electric bill below $100 w/o running the furnace or the a/c even. |

I feel for those who are having to trade off necessities to stay warm, some aren't! Food shelters are still running bare, NC has lost over 50,000 jobs this year alone. 400 yesterday from a furniture factory closing. |
