Hello MsNJ.. Have you given your real name and I didn't catch it? My real name is Kathie...new to this thread. I spend most of my time in games & music as a rule Nice.. I haven't even done that. My real name is.. well, Skad is an all right name, right? We'll just go with that. I garden, play guitar (quite horribly so far, but still trying), and play MMO's when they're interesting enough to keep my attention, which is obviously not in the past week. I give guitar lessons if you are ever interested. I have stuff on PDFs that is postable to links in messages here, etc. Or, just... "hello"

I want an electric guitar--I only have acoustic and I hate picks, and well, fingers play so much more sweetly on an electric. |

Evening Singme..how are you doing this evening? hey Electrik! I'm cold.. but good. How are you? I think it is cold here to, it is about 45 degrees outside but raining. My room is only sitting at 73, and I think it is cold. I'm a crazy bottom that can only sleep with the ceiling fan on at night so it gets even colder when I sleep. But other then beening chilly, I am doing better then a few days ago. It's rainy here, too. I'm curled up on the couch with a big blanket, though. So that helps! |

I want an electric guitar--I only have acoustic and I hate picks, and well, fingers play so much more sweetly on an electric. I highly recommend an electric. Depending on your taste for body styles, colors, etc... you know, there are a million choices... but going from acoustic to electric, a Fender Telecaster or Fender Stratocaster makes a nice choice. As you probably know, there are like umpteen zillions price differences, too... no matter what you want to spend these days, you can find a model within your price bracket. Fender makes their American-made stuff at about $1,000-$1,100 new, and $500-$800 if you find them used... or they have Mexican-made ones for $%00-$800 new, and ones made all over the pace so you could get a Tele for about $200 new if you weren't concerned about having an American-made guitar. Here's my light green Telecaster:  Here's a Stratocaster-type guitar, but by a different manufacturer... still the same shape as the Fender Stratocaster:  I always liked this one because of the blur and wood-grain color... and in this photo, you can see a reflection of me taking a picture of the guitar, the finish is so perfect:  Uh-oh, you get me started about guitars and I'll eat up come bandwidth... I have taught my share of guitar lessons and the only thing I have to say is. Get a guitar of quality. There have been so many students that don't accually stick with it because their guitar was hard to play.
