All things were motionless. Not a single leaf was rustled by the slightest wind. Nothing crawled, scurried, ran, or slithered. Not a even a cloud drifted through the dead black sky. My body's warmth and feeling were stolen me by the infinite cold. This moment made me almost completely convinced i was suspended in the very mind of Death himself.Or herself as Pop would say. Darkness was total. There was a ground under me, trees around me, and a sky above me. This i was aware of but only in thought. I understood i was still alive even though all emotional and physical evidence claimed otherwise. I exhaustively clung to the memory of the last glimpse of light to bless my eyes. Even though it seemed like eons ago at sunset i was lying on my stomach with a sword in my hand and could only assume i was still in this position. I was not at that moment because i was in awe of the vast hell around me. I was terrified of what was to come.
