I'm just saying that, in the scenario as originally presented, I see enough warning signs that I would make an immediate and permanent exit. You don't have to know every single detail in order to know that a situation isn't right for you. Nah, you're right, sorry! I know your stance on drinking and kids and respect it. Nice to know of someone who knows what works for them and owns that decision with no apologies.  I was just making the point, for others, that this situation, for the young woman in question, may not be as it appears. |

The fact that you are having second thoughts at just the mention of her having a child is bad news. Your either good with it or your not....your not. If it was just you and her I would say there is no harm in exploring a relationship, but not throwing a kid in the mix. This is going to sound stupid, but maybe you should start out being friends. That way you can get a little exposure to the kid and find out if it rubs you the wrong way or not.
