Promoteing yourself in text is actually more than listing the hobbies you enjoy with yourself or the guys unless of course you want that kind of date.

No dissing an ex, your parents, your employer of society in general.

No blaming failures on being too nice, working too much, giving too much, or being a parent. Nobody buys that baloney.

Don't insult our intelligence that you are somehow just doing this for kicks, research, because someone else wanted you to, or because there is nobody to date in your area, or you don't have time.

If you aren't single don't be surprised if people don't want to wait around while you get your life straight or can sneak away from the one you are with.

If you make it clear you are looking for a booty call don't be surprized if nobody wants to both to pretend it is a date.

If you shoot your mouth off like a sexist, bigot, bully, or lunatic in your profile or forums you are wasteing your time.

I agree with pacific star. However there are people here that just look at pictures and don't read profiles.Some are here because they are bored.Besides the more appealing people get
loads of messages and probably don't have time to respond to each one.Make the title of your message say something catchy
instead of just hi! or hello! those are the ones getting deleted.I have spoken to quite a few people saying the same type of thing you are here. So it's not you.It's just the way these internet dating sites are.
