Topic: Does anyone remember the game four square? | |
---|---|
Ages & ages & AGES ago when i was in grade school we would go out for recess & play games. The two most popular were tether ball & four square. It required a ball, four big squares of concrete ground (the parking lot was sectioned that way so thats where we would play) and at least 5 ppl to play. Does anyone remember this?? I loved that game... Im feeling nostalgic this morning for some reason.

My son is now a huge fan of "Dodge Ball". They have this huge game every week with about 50 kids...These kids get slammed, pounded by the ball..He is always one of the last ones left in the game...Oh the memories |

4 Square, Handball
those were the popular games when i was in elementary school altho i remember 4 square needing only 4 ppl but extra players could wait in line and the person that missed the ball was out and next person moves in, seem to remember some sort of ranking system too |

My dad has an old draw string leather bag full of marbles he used to play with as a kid. Some of them are reallllly pretty!

Did you put a double shot glass in the middle filled up with "soda" that tasted like "tequila" and you had to keep the ball from hitting it while you passed it from square to square by bouncing it?
