can you search the forums for someones name ??? otherwise
you would have to dig through forum after forum to see if they have posted......right?

If you click on Search at the top of the screen, one of the options that comes up is Search by User Name. If you know that user name, and if there's someone on the site with that user name, it will take you to their profile.

I don't know of any way to search the forums to see whether or not they have posted though. There has been a suggestion made to have a link in a person's profile that would bring up their recent postings (if any), and this may be implemented at some point in the future....
