What to do when you have certain family members that are leaches.Constantly asking for money,favors shelter and etc. Now I am not talking about needing help occasionally I am talking every month non stop. And GOD forbid they find out you have had come into extra money. They call your phone every day then to see if you will give them something.It's really disheartening because it shows they don't respect me. I work my butt off for everything I have and never asked for a dime or anything for that matter.

Tell 'em you had to file for bancruptcy because they sponged everything from you. Now, you're broke, your credit is shot, and you had to apply for welfare, food stamps, and other financial aid. You were a victim of a company layoff, and now you can't even afford to fart because you can't open any windows to let the stink out for fear of losing the heat from your house.

Or, you could just tell 'em to go f*** themselves and get their own job.

well, we all make decisions based on certain stimuli, and help if you can, but don't sacrifice yourself while doing it.

Yup. You HAVE to put your foot down. They may get pissed off at you, but at least they'd be off your back, yeah? Besides, it should be their own problem anyway.

Done I blasted several family members verbally one in particular."Why are you blasting me like this?" he said.
I replied "because it needs to be done and nobody else had the guts to do it".

tell them "I choose to surround myself these days with positivity. If you want to be around me, your going to have to get more positive. Till then I'm going to continue to take care of myself like always and be hoping that you are learning to do the same. Then lets hang out again.."

Tell em to grow up! Simple, I've had this problem for years. I'm "the baby" of the fam, but I've always been the one to turn to for help. And I got sick of it. I told em I wasn't putting up with it anymore. Now me and my brother, we were SO close, doesn't talk to me at all; he just had a baby, I saw her pics by mistake through an email and he lives, um 20 mins away; me and my sister talk occasionally. Oh well. They'll be alright. Just because someone's fam doesn't mean they're good in your life: Remove negative energy from your life, and your life will be so much more...Simple.

Simple, tell them to get off there ass and get a job to take care of themselves.
If you want to help them. Don't enable them. I have a brother that was heading that way and i just cut him off, said enough was enough.

Talk about kicking me when I'm down. I go through a divorce and the worst year of my life and all they can do is stick their hand out. I told them all this is it.Here is the line in the sand.
