Yes, I do! I think that parents want to make sure that they provide a better life for their children than they had. So over the generations we have given our children more and more while expecting less and less. For all good intentions, we have created a generation that has no sense of responsibility.
I'm not blaming the parents individually, I think society as a whole is to blame. |

I blame it on our greed as a society and our consumer based society. Everybody wants more more more all the time. That leads to both parents working lots of hours and not being there
for the kids.So the parents feel guilty because they weren't there enough and compensate by giving the kid every desired material possession.Kids should not have the internet in thier bedroom and my kids didn't. My kids had to sit in the living room with their laptops and use the internet so that the time spent on their was limited as it should be.Anyway that's how I see it. |

younger generation has it too easy today? If so, what do you think is to blame? Actually, I don't think the generation of today has it easy - I think they have the most difficult job ahead of them as of any generation. Why, you might ask? It has nothing to do with technology, gadgets, money, perks, etc. - all of those superficial things just move them through life a lot faster than previous generations, not easier. The reason this generation has it more difficult than previous generations is that they're trying to negotiate through life without any of the guidelines, morals, values and mentorship of quality people in their lives. I would say this severely handicaps them for what lies ahead in their reality. IMHO |

my daughter is 12,
one of her little friends was over at our house. this little girl told me her dad could never get remarried and have any more children. because if he did...she would not be the only child and she would not get spoiled. and she didnt like her mom...and staying at her moms house becasue there was other kids there and she was not the only kid getting attention. |
