Topic: 50 ways to "fix" this Dell........ | |
---|---|
So I'm on my best friends computer. She brought me the box, told me it was "all messed up" and asked me to "fix it". There really wasn't much wrong with it other than general maintenance, some registry issues and a few programs that needed to go.
Now, being the devious friend that I am......I think she needs some surprises to find later considering I'm doing this for free. So far.....I've installed firefox 3. That's not too devious, but could be if someone isn't used to a new browser. I set it to default and I'm going to force her to learn how to use it. Bring on some suggestions folks! I'd like to leave her some little surprises to find when she gets it home. |

You could just make firefox 3 have internet explorers icons and she may not notice.Go to default programs and disable internet explorer (the insecure browser).

A scheduled task to go to this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0 every day at the same time.
You can make a bat file with the following line in it... start iexplore.exe "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0" and execute it whenever with a Windows Scheduled Task. Or have it browse to a photobucket account and show a picture. You could then change the picture from time to time, while maintaining the same name, just to confuse her. Changing the windows noises is always good too. |
