I believe it happens when you realize that life just wouldn't be "the same" if they were not their. Yeah, you can miss someone. You can lust someone. But when you touch that person, and you just feel "magic". Or when your heart aches so bad that you miss them and you know it is genuine. Or when you make love, and the sex is more than just awesome...you just feel connected. I think that is when you are truly "in love". But that is just my theory.

when you cant stop thinking about someone. but this can be confused with infatuation, so i will elaborate. when you let them go and they come back. when you spend more than 16 hours a day trying to think of ways to make him or her happier. when sex becomes making love. when you would undoubtedly follow him or her to the darkest corners of the earth. when you find yourself bringing him or her home food from work without any real reason. when you see him or her cry and you would do anything possible to pick them up. when bars arent fun anymore. when youd rather the sun not come up the next day than lose him or her. is this clearing it up a bit?
