I made no inference as to not being able to have a valid view of what life means or what the world means. I was just attempting to describe what it feels like when one becomes a parent, knowing that you have no children of your own. No condescension was intended, and I apologize if any was inferred. No, sorry, that was not directed towards you in any way. I admire and respect your writing aptitude and I personally have enjoyed your postings. My comment was intended to reflect on my attitude toward the mindset that there is some sort of inherent "incompleteness" in the understanding/meaning of life in anyone who is childfree. I don't see it as a handicap at all, though. From where I sit, it would be as if someone said "You don't know anything about life until you've climbed Mt. Everest." Yes, I'm sure that's a unique and rewarding experience; I don't think you can use that -- or any one experience or life event -- as a determinant to say who "knows" more or who "knows" better. Sorry if I was unclear there....! |

"No (Man,Women) can possibly know what life means, what the world means, until he has a child and loves it. And then the whole universe changes and nothing will ever again seem exactly as it seemed before."(My Answer is definantly True, I have a Son that just turned 10 and is my World) |

True.
Even though it's a mixed blessing sometimes. You worry about them when they are little but when they are grown. That's when I worry the most. Heart breaks, divorce, illness. Even though the grandchildern are wonderfull I still lay awake sometimes thinking about them. The joy continues but the heart ache does too. It's life. |
