First of all CONGRATS on that weight loss..but wow 70lbs in 3 months..thats like crazy!! I have had my battle w/ the buldge in the past, so I know how hard it is...(took me much longer tho...dieting and working out like a maniac, and I still do).so my hat goes off to you!!! Good Job! keep it up! As far as that makes u more dateable...sure its about looks initially..but it is about self esteem as well..not just if other think you are hot, but if you think that you are hot. You can be hot at 300lbs and you can be hot at 100lbs..its all about your self confidence that shines through and attracts others to you. Pure Genious

First of all CONGRATS on that weight loss..but wow 70lbs in 3 months..thats like crazy!! I have had my battle w/ the buldge in the past, so I know how hard it is...(took me much longer tho...dieting and working out like a maniac, and I still do).so my hat goes off to you!!! Good Job! keep it up! As far as that makes u more dateable...sure its about looks initially..but it is about self esteem as well..not just if other think you are hot, but if you think that you are hot. You can be hot at 300lbs and you can be hot at 100lbs..its all about your self confidence that shines through and attracts others to you. To add to this... you can be Hot and 300 lbs and ugly at 100 lbs... or vice versa. Looks only get you so far. Health wise, it's great that you lost that much weight. That's friggin awesome.

Oh yeah, I work with a guy who is hot and buff and has no personality. None.... and he biotches all the time and is late.... Not at all attractive.

I understand your pride....losing all that weight after knowing what we go through as overweight people is quite the ego boost. I am sooo happy for ya. You look great. Congrats. Kat

I think it takes time to get used to people reacting differently to the new body. It also takes time to work out a different identity. I think op is right on track--approval-seeking can be a good thing.
