thanksgiving

imagine that be thankful if ya stay home i guess

--------------

It's late at night on a holiday, and local emergency workers are on high alert. In upstate New York, a speeding car splits into three pieces after slamming into a utility pole. In Longview, Texas, a drunk driver hits a Mitsubishi Montero, killing a college student. In Western Michigan, a driver loses control of her car and crashes into a parked ambulance.

Just another New Year's Eve, right? Wrong. These things all happened on Thanksgiving, the most dangerous holiday of the year for drivers,

hope everyone arrives home safely and has a good holiday season

These instances can also happen on any given day of the year, too.

Just sayin'.

I bet these things happen when grandma forgets the cranberries. Somebody has to go 130 mph to make sure the store is still open.

Thanksgiving isn't the most dangerous day, it is actually the day before, when all the college kids drive home and go out.

Are you seriously asking me for verification? Do you think they say Thanksgiving and mean that actual day... it is the whole holiday, from Wednesday to Sunday, Robin.

well if it IS Thanksgiving .. it's not the liquor. There's something in turkey that makes you tired.

I bet they fall asleep at the wheel yawn

Turkey does have the makings of a natural sedative in it, an amino acid called tryptophan. Tryptophan is an essential amino acid, meaning that the body can't manufacture it. The body has to get tryptophan and other essential amino acids from food. Tryptophan helps the body produce the B-vitamin niacin, which, in turn, helps the body produce serotonin, a remarkable chemical that acts as a calming agent in the brain and plays a key role in sleep.
