If I passed you in the hallway at work, even if I had never met you,if I said "good morning", you probably would at least say hi to me....
For me , it's the same way if I send you a nice note-

Unless you are one of those folks that just glares and walks on....I have encounted that as well.

I think you should take into consideration that you have no idea what is going on in that person's life.

They might be out of town. Their computer might be down. They might be in the hospital. Or they might be really shy....heck...I don't know!!

What I think is inconsiderate is when people assume that someone is being rude by their lack of reply.

Give the person the benefit of the doubt for cryin out loud. And if the person doesn't respond....you don't have to get all mad about it.

absolutely, but that is in an everyday situation and this, for the most part, is still a dating site with people wanting to meet others for romantic purposes.

saying hello to people on the street, or at work, is just part of everyday life.

Problem with that is... you might be a nice guy and just say good morning to someone or in an email say something along the lines of Hi, my name is soandso and how are you...or something.. but a majority of the emails i receive are along the lines of "you have the most beautiful eyes" or they tell me their entire life story and expect me to read all of that in the first email... maybe a test email would suffice sometimes... a "hey, how are you?" type thing and if you get a response then you test the waters you don't just automatically talk dirty to a girl or tell her she's beautiful or she's hot or something stupid along those lines.. hell I know my eyes are pretty but if you read my profile you would know thats not the only thing about me. that just tells me you saw a picture. I dunno.. I don't respond for the most part if I don't think I see anything in common... or if there is not enough information to go by.

i have been on here since JAN.and have gotten some responses from local women but then they just seem to move on,i have yet to have a local date from here,i guess where i live women are more superficial and just looking for the hotest guys they can find to go out on dates with them.its kind of sad but im beginning to think its true.....or they could be killing time until there husbands come home.i had a long descriptive profile never got any responses back so i shortened it and got more responses but they would just move on too.
