Every night, at midnight, now for a good week or more, my PC locks up at
midnight while I am on this site. What is causing this???? I then go
out and do a shutdown, sometimes have to do it twice, to get back on the
site.

I do delete the cookies and temp. internet files routinely, don't know
what else to do, but heck, what is it?? The Witching hour???? Every
night right on cue, lock up at midnight. Can you help explain?????

When you say 'lock up' it sounds like you mean this site, and not your
PC as a whole. I think (?) they take the site offline for a few minutes
for maintenance every day.

I've had mine to that a couple times but it was later then midnight.
More like at four or five am (central time). I had to shut it down and
re-boot to get back on the site.

Marie, I see you are in Pacific Time - as am I, and I've had trouble
connecting right after midnight also. I don't try to 'fix' the problem,
I just wait and occasionally hit the 'refresh' button until the site
comes back online.

Marie, I'm on Central Time, and it hits me right at 2:00 a.m. every
morning. It only lasts for a few minutes, so I go play some game on
Pogo while I wait for JSH to come out of its vegetative state. But I
have 8,431,394 Pogo tokens now, so maybe I can cash them in for another
llama hat.

If this is happening to more then one person on here and different
internet service providers then it is probably something to do with the
just say hi website or server. It may be the time when they have
scheduled to backup the system.

I have not been online enough to notice a pattern but I have seen times
when the site seems to be unavailable for a few minutes.

It seems to me that if I can go to another website while this one is
down that would indicate there is not a problem with my pc but with the
web server itself.

It is not a matter of deleteing your cookies or cleaning out your cache.

I wondered if it was an update type of thing locking it up or slowing it
down. Really annoying, usually when I am trying to reply to something,
then blam, there I sit forever it seems like.

marie.. mine does too from midnight to 12:08 for about 2 weeks...

Marie, I'm glad you posted this question and that so many different
people responded, cause I was curious about the same thing.

Taking all these comments together now I'm certain they must take down
the site every day at midnight (PST) for some kind of maintenance.
