Ok, so I know I'm knew and haven't really cut my teeth in the local
posting community; but as I was perusing I noticed a lot of "left" and
"right" talk bouncing around. This little quiz isn't so much of a scale
as it is a square. It categorizes you extremely accurately within 8
questions, and it really puts to rest many "media notions" about
politics in general.

*le sigh* The media, I'll have to get to that some other time.

That quiz may not be even remotely "balanced", but its great how it
brings attention to the fact that the political spectrum is NOT a line.
Not even a square, but the polarizing way everyone thinks in terms of
'two ends to the political spectrum' can really limit dialog.

coming here and making a political debate of whether or not its a fair

Oh, i totally missed what you were laughing at, Fanta! I thought you
were laughing at my understatement. And i didn't mean to start any kind
of debate (today). I just wanted to encourage people to take it but
felt compelled to qualify that encouragement. I think we can all agree
that its at least a little biased. (I also think its *just fine* that
its 'biased'.)

Everyone, please ignore the statements about bias...*hypnotizing
gesture* This quiz is not biased. These are not the droids you are
looking for...umm, or something.

But seriously, you would be surprised at the results. I gave this quiz
in a number of different settings, and most people were not actually
Libretarians, depending on the setting. For example, in a history,
collegel-level class, the vast majority of course fell under moderate,
with about equal parts liberal and conservative, a few pinkos, and me
being the only Libretarian.
