Topic: ever tried a little kindness?

i have always watched people and what they said. But, then i watched what their actions show. It does make me see, a lot of people are not very kind to others.Have you-all ever noticed some people say--but , they do not mean what they say??

if you look for things to offend you....you will find them..... if you look for the "good" in people...you will find it , as well

It's become a rough world out there. It ain't like it used to be. In today's world, you have to have a spine and a thick skin, or else you'll wind up getting run over.

So many times people are offended or hurt because they are misinterpeting what is being said. It happens even more online. Yes, there are a lot of mean and hateful people out there. But, it also has a lot to do with the receiver's perspective.

oh, i do look for the good in people. (as a wal-mart greeter for over ten years, i had to.)

There's also the fact that we have more contact with people due to the net in whatever context. The percentage of d-licks may be the same, there're just so many more people we expose ourselves to. Maybe that didn't come out right...expose...sigh...but you know what I mean.

one elderly man always told me; "treat yourself good because, no one else will." and this is true statement. I have learned over my 53 years.

Yes, it's too easy to be nasty on line. But, for some, it's very easy for them to be nasty to your face. Are they just trying to find out what your feeling's are on the particular matter. Are they digging deep?

the thing that gets me is,people will ask a question,other people answer if the person who asked the question doesn't like the answer,then you hear or see this.."i really don't care what people think or feel about it". then why ask?

I think much of the misinterpretation online comes from not physically knowing the person speaking, and not knowing their personality, sense of humor, etc. Thus, a lot of things get misconstrued very easily for lack of being able to express into words on a screen exactly how they're intending for a statement to come out. Once you get to meet a person from online in person, you usually immediately "get" where they're coming from, if you know what I mean.

i have helped people that needed a hand up. i have helped in many other ways, also. All because i was listening to them. i find kindness is best, all the way around.

(a simply little test.) Say, a person yelled at you--for whatever reason. How do you re-act to that yelling? the answer to this question , tells a lot about you.
