This is why I question if this is real sometimes...in real life if someone said things to me that I didn't like, I'd take there head and slam it into a wall...but here...well, you can't...so alot of this is real and I value my friends here but alot of it I just ignore

I have watched many debates here in the Forums...and yes there were lots of hostility and anger to the point of insults

I, personally do not WANT to participate in such debates especially if it's already in a HEATED and argumentative state due to a touchy topic.

I have seen some get their feelings badly hurt as well, simply because they asked a question.

I care what my friends here think and feel about me, and if I thought something might be taken out of context or as an insult, I would then send a PERSONAL EMAIL to that person to resolve any issues we might have.

i don't get offended easily and i don't take most things personally, or to heart. in fact, if someone's resorted to calling me names and attempting to hurt, i figured that i've gotten to them and have to chuckle a bit.

however, that doesn't mean that i have to go out of may way to insult/demean/ridicule other people just because i happen to have thick skin and figure that they should as well.

i try, very hard sometimes, to say things in ways that are tactful, diplomatic and impersonal.

I've been called a lot of things on the internet, but I've yet to be called over for dinner.

That's what pisses me off!

i think impersonal is the key word. ya know? thats a great way to look at it. regardless to how you take things.. taking into accounr how others may is a good way to keep things calm.

but there are times when no matter how you word something ... if you have to say ... say it.

also, sometimes no matter what you say, or how you attempt to word it, someone is going to misconstrue it and take offense.

I really don't care if someone agrees with me or not. That is cool. What is not cool is when people come in here suggesting I am somehow defective that I talk to people and exchange ideas and if I run across someone compatiable want to date them. If they have to tell me to do something vulgar, or I am wasteing my life, stupid, or any of a laundry list of childish insults they better come ready to dual with more wits than most of them show. I don't have to use vulgar names but I can and will identify childish or abusive behavior for what it is. For some it is only a matter of time before they melt down and it is better to just ignore their goading.
