Topic: Do you see this as REAL? | |
---|---|
For me you all are real people. Granted I can't often have you over for coffee but it is nice to talk to people and actually have someone closer to my age and a varitety of ages to talk to. I feel like I am not invadeing anyones space talking late hours or while many of the people my own age are working. I am starting to talk to people from my area and I am pretty sure eventually I will find someone compatiable. IF it is really hot or raining I find the computer a lot more entertaining than TV. Sure a lot less expensive than some of my other hobbies and social outlets.

This place is what it is...different for everyone...sometimes, its reality...somedays its Disneyland(a place to get away from real life problems)

I'd say it's as real as you wanna make it. You get back what you put in, just as in life. I came here looking for a date, but if I don't get too many of those, at least I found friends and people in my age group to chat with when I'm home alone after the kids go to bed.

I find this place to be a valuable source of social interactions with no real pressure of the physicalities of dating. Here you can laugh or cry with no one judgeing you for it (most of the time). You can exchange differing view points and make friends with people from anywhere without being concerned about having to put out in the first date. Occasionally, I do meet people from these sites but, I get to know enough about them before hand to clearly know that I apprecieate them for who they are....not what they look like. |

Well said by everyone .. this IS as much reality as you choose to pour into it.
Last time I checked every single person I've met from here added to my life. Even those I wouldn't choose to chill with daily did, just by being them. |

The problem with using the counter is that we use to post hundreds of icons in a day. That really boosted our number count.

We meet people from all over the world we wouldn't have a chance to any other way. Personally I spend a lot of time home because of my children. When I'm not working at the office that is. I don't like to go out and leave them alone a lot. So .. I can still keep in touch with adults and friends with out being gone .. works for me. |

I just got an email from some guy stating that he's figured the math and I must post an average of 100 times a day. And that he personally wants less time on a computer and more spent in real life. LMFAO. First, off who CARES?????????? I mean why should anyone care how much someone else posts? Am I missing something here? Second,I do have a REAL life. I have plenty going on in my life. But I see all of you and the community here as REAL as well. I've met probably 75+ people from online in person and made some of the best friendships I've ever had. So ........ What about you? Do you see this as a place for reality to live out or no? |

I second that vote. |
