i was just wondering cause Sen Obama said he wont raise taxes for the middle class and those are the 4 diff numbers ive heard that people will start getting taxed.
Oh ya will our taxes go up when he rolls back President Bushes tax cuts?
.....

from an earlier post by my friend...Walter E. Williams...

An important component of the leftist class warfare agenda is to condemn President Bush's tax cuts for the rich. This claim is careless, ignorant or dishonest on at least two counts. First there's the constitutional issue. Article I, Section 8 reads, "The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes . . ." That means the president has no taxing authority.

Presidents can propose or veto taxes and Congress can override vetoes. The bottom line is that all taxing authority rests with the U.S. Congress. The next time you hear someone condemn or praise Bush's tax cuts, ask them whether the Constitution has been amended to give the president taxing authority.

it means that the lowest bracket will come back after Bush did away with it and a lot of people will start paying taxes again

Ahh so its just the bracket at which you pay a higher rate of tax is it?

If so, i still dont think that defines class, thats bull.

Here you pay the higher rate of tax at about 40k, which is about 75-80k in American Pesetas.

We have spent ourselves into a $10.5 TRILLION DOLLAR National Debt, and before our current financial crisis is over, that number will be much higher. Are we going to continue to delude ourselves that this can continue? Are we... this generation of adults, prepared to simply pass this problem to our children and their children? Non-productive spending needs to be cut and yes, taxes need to go up to balance our current budgets before we can even begin to tackle reduction of the cumulative debt.

In my opinion, that is the reality either candidate faces.
