I agree, a clear cut winner is a must in this election. The last thing this country needs is a repeat of the 2000 election. Hopefully all of America will embrace the winner regardless of the party/race they're affiliated with

voter turnout by year

2000-50.0%
2002-36.3%
2004-55.4%
2006-41.3%
2008-?

maybe we'll get slightly more than half the people to vote?

the youth vote is always the big expectation, yet every election they never seem to turn up at the polls. We hear it every year that the young people are excited and motivated but they never seem to show up

yeah most of the normal people stay home and leave it to the radical partisan nutcases to decide the country for them.

And then they complain about the direction the country is gooing

Don't blame me, I voted for Bush!

Remember those bumper stickers after Clinton was elected?

I'd hate to admit it, but I'm actually not registered to vote. Coming from a historically blue state, I feel like my vote matters less. If I lived in a swing state, it'd probably be a different story.

it's okay. I encourage lots of people not to vote. That way my vote carries more weight

Every vote matters.flowerforyou

And it feels good.bigsmile

Warning - MO was a blue state but has been red for the last
8 yrs.

That's why we have so many new voters this time. We are tied right now.
