Courtney your little face is such a delight.
All I want to do is lift you and hold you tight. Although tragic what you had to go through that night. I know now you were filled with GOD'S light. That morning in your hospital bed. I laid my hand on your bandaged and hurt little head. Tears running down my cheek, your eyes opened a tiny peek. Showing me and telling me you fell in a fire. Hands and arms wrapped in white, talking til you tired Not a scar on your face that even shows. Just that sweet childhood smile, that just glows. I hold you and think of my time to come when we must part. Seeing you a beautiful young lady, still holding my heart. And telling you stories of that fearful night. As you hold my hand with tears on your cheek, squeezing tight Remembering all the way back, the memories we shared. Feeling and knowing how much we both truly cared. Later in life when you read this poem your first time. Know that I love you so much, I had to give you this rhyme. |

The gift of love and heartfelt emotion all wrapped up in a prose of words. Great write.

Ahhhh T-man, nice write. Her beauty goes so much deeper than the skin - how else could this much emotion be provoked????Another write perhaps (wink). Well jeepers T, if she reads it when she's at the crappy Teenage time, it could backfire big time. With the experience of adulthood, it is a given.
