Morning of Promise
Morning sun breaks low As gold linings trace the clouds The purple skies unfold While a sea of blue wades out. Birdsong heralds daybreak A cool breeze stirs from it's sleep The flowers open tenderly Bathed in the dew drops sheen. The fragile creaking of a rocker Ushers to the symphony While the softest whispers sing From your loving lips to me. Our hands are held in promise Although our eyes seem blurred We sit and share the beauty Beholden to this earth. This heart we share in earnest Manifest us to these joys And witness to our spirit What true feelings we employ. Fadedspirit 10/31/2008 |
