Yes, I watched it to try and give the guy a fair shake, but it did not change my mind. I felt more sound in my decision to pull for McCain. Somewhere around the start of the infomercial, he was going on about how we are spending more in Iraq now than when we started. Most people know that many American Soldiers lives were lost due to under funding in the beginning. After the surge, the number of lives lost has dropped. He wants to cut funding for our troops... Where has he said this? He says that he wants to end the war in Iraq, not wave to the troops, burn the bridge, and stop sending them money. If they're not in Iraq, then they won't need $10 billion a month. anyone remember the pullout from vietnam...??? Don't ever let that happen to any more US Troops... EVER. You can not pull troops out of a place until that place is completely secured... Else you invite immediate and overwhelming attack as you withdraw. This is so not Vietnam. |

So why keep using it in our politics just like we used Vietnam? It will be secure (enough) when all Iraq'i terroritories are controlled completely by Iraq'i forces. (patrol, police, people, and peaceful). that may be in a year or it might be in 40... But I doubt it will take longer than 10. |

(He also says that 80% of the combantants he has engaged are not Iraqi's - but other nationals claiming to be alQeada) Now for some reason he's decided that he can give the same kind of help in Afganistan (which is where he is now - at his request... Do I worry... HELL YES. |
