I'm not exactly sure if anyone asked this... but I read about it and it
really made me think about it.


If you had to save the life of one person, would it be the one you
love...or the one who loves you?

i would die trying to save both. i refuse to be putinto situations
where I have to choose life over death between two or more people.

I would get down on my knee's and pray to God to take me,, For that is a
choice I can not and will not make

I was actually thinking the same thing as Daniel

I can't even think about this one any longer. My stomach just went into
a knot. I just hope to God, i'm never put in that situation.

I agree w/LAMom I could never make such a choice and I would rather give
up my own life than choose between two others.

i guess it depends. i'd do my damnedest to save everyone involved...but
let me just say that my children come before anyone who might love me.

Well i cannot PASS the ONE that IS closer to REACH the OTHER. So it
will HAVE to be THE ONE THAT IS CLOSER.

Self-preservation is a very strong thing, especially if one is REALLY
faced with death.

I disagree Jean...how many stories have you read where someone drowns
trying to save their loved one....it might sound foolish when you read
stories like that...but love is stronger then self....I know if I had
choice to save myself or my son...I wouldn't have to think for a nano
second... my son would live if only one could survive

I would consider "the one I love" as equal to "the one who loves me",
and would choose some other measure. For example, I may choose the
person who is younger to live (as a matter of why kill a 20yr old
instead of a 40yr old? - all else being equal). I could be moved to
decide based on dependents - if the 40yr old has five ppl who
desperately need them rather than a 20yr old, then I could be persuaded
that way too.

But, lets be real. It also comes down to basic manliness. Sure, we're
all shy to say it, but whichever choice will result in better chances of
noogie will win. (it really is that simple aint it?)

I would lay my life down no question for my child.
