Passing the Pharmacy Tech Certification Board test and getting a job. Just a lot of things involved with that now that you didn't really have to know to get the job before. As of next year, the certification is going to be required for any pharmacy tech job.

That's what my sons girlfriend does and yeah she knows a lot, it surprised me... When I went to ER and they didn't know what my medications were, she was there and told them what each one was for.. it was pretty cool...

As I understand it, the course I'm taking is just covering basics of what I'll need to pass the board. Most of it is actually learned on the job.

I'm pretty sure I don't want to be a pharmacist, but this will get my foot in the door so I can work on getting a degree later and go into something else. I'm still thinking about becoming a radiology tech. A lot more money, but minimum 2 yr degree.
