And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying,
(Matthew 28:18-20)"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Jesus calls all His followers to act and share the Good News of salvation throughout the world.

My take on it is; it's an act of faith in Christ, to take personal effort, in following thu with ones beliefs, by sharing.

Every 'faithful' Christian is compelled through faith and obedience by choice to share.

Drew, the objections to your posts have very little to do with the message itself. They are almost exclusively to the way you are delivering it.

Wouldn’t you agree that part of that commission you are speaking of is to actually bear some fruit.

If a message is ignored because of the delivery method, how effective can it really be in obtaining the objectives of “teaching them” and “making desciples”?

A fundamental requirement in getting a message across to someone is that they be willing to receive that message. And your presentation is doing more harm than good in that area.

Hey skyhook, thnks for the input....

Jesus said "Thus saith the Lord" or "God said" or "It is written" or "Have you not read that it was said"

92 times.

That doesn't include all the times He (CHRIST) quoted Scripture when it wasn't recorded...

it is the teacher by example to use the words written and not my words...the bible expresses clearly.

the scriptural truth is what it is - the truth from the beginning of our time, from the creator, for all time. Interpretation by me or man may change it, but GODS WORD and laws are finite. Even on the mountain Christ quoted the power of the word to SATAN, he was not fool enough to be disrespectful to GOD-man Christ, he understood and had to abide by it and what he was commanded to do regardless of his arrogance and foolish ways. Some are willing to learn the true teachings and abide, some sadly do not. sad FOR THEIR EXISTENCE WILL BE HELL, literally in the end of a physical life. So needless.

Actually this should give you a hint that the people who wrote the gospels were indeed using the Old Testament as a guide to forge their own version of the rumors of Jesus.

I mentioned in another one of your threads that historians have shown that the earilest Christians did not even believe the things that are written in the gospels at all (this was before those gospels were even written!).

There were many different rumors about what Jesus taught and what he stood for.

Many of the earilest Christians didn't even believe that the Roman's killed Jesus, they believed that the Jews murdered him for blaspheme.

There were many conflicting stories of the rumors of Jesus. And the various Christians were actually in quite heated and often violent conflict with what Jesus stood for.

Eventually the authorities decided to take command of these rumors once and for all. They created the gospels that you now call 'the word of God'.

They enforced them via the sword and declared that any man who question their authenticity will be beheaded.

They had the power, and the armies to back up their threats.

The quickly stamped out all the rumors that they didn't approve of and printed their own version of the event as the Holy Book.

You believe that those scriptures are the word of Jesus.

I believe they are total demagogurey.

The point is that no one can prove it one way or the other.

Therefore when you post this crap all you are posting is your opinion of what you believe.

If this is your faith then so be it. But why push your faith onto others?

You place your faith in those men who wrote the gospels. You have no clue what Jesus might have said, or not said. Or even if the man actually lived or if he was nothing more than folklore!

You belief is based on nothing other than your own personal faith.

For some reason you like to believe that you have fallen from grace from your creator and that you are responsible for God having to have to have his son nailed to a pole to save your underserving pathetic butt.

Why you perfer to believe such a thing on pure faith is beyond me.

I would not want that story to be true, so why would I want to believe it on pure faith?

Wouldn't you rather it not be true?

Wouldn't you just be tickled pink to discover that you are not unworthy of God's love, and you are not responsible for God having to have his son nailed to a pole because of your rebellious desire to reject God?

Have you ever actually felt that way?

Have you actually felt a desire to reject and rebel against God?

If not, then why would you believe in a story that claims that you are guilty of such a thing?

I've never rejected God in my entire life. Therefore I know the story is a lie. I don't need to worry about having faith one way or another. I can clearly see that it's a lie.

""Many of the earliest Christians didn't even believe that the Roman's killed Jesus, they believed that the Jews murdered him for blaspheme"".

IF they only had the INTERNET, or a CELL PHONE, back then, they could of gotten all straight by the following SABBATH, YA THINK LOL.

"faith" can be quite broad, and may be used as a/the standard in place of either; "trust," or "belief," or in "hope"

""I would not want that story to be true, so why would I want to believe it on pure faith""?

Well some do not believe it is true. Some have no faith in the gospels or faith in the DEAD SEA SCROLLS and any wriitngs in the hands of the historians or scientists or archeologists or, well you get the pick.

...so how do you feel about a free dating sight using a lot of what these people write about for thier own BLOGS as a way to get free material and free articles, subject matter and content, all thanks to you and others voicing their opinions rather than gathering and using with/out permission copywrite material they cant use, like most internet bible passages????????

just curious...

Oh most of the messages I write regardless of the delivery is laughed off, so my motive is much greater than debate, but I can see where your coming from, thanks
