Hiding in shadows My comfort within, My silence begotten In a world I thought dim. Afraid to face The fears that I'd wrought, My tears held the anger That grew with each drop. Righteously angry, Self absorbed I'd not thought. Of those I left spinning Encircling the drain, In pain I felt pleasure Yet nothing was gained. Avoiding those issues, Yes, slowly I drowned, Content in my whiles For all let me down. Though drowned in my madness All these years I had slaved, Some stranger lent mercy, And my game I delayed. I spoke from my heart And truth shattered my lies, Spinning and tumbling, I thought I would die. Once I awoke, I thought it a dream, But reformed from that beast Is this heart you now see.
