She softly said goodbye.
An introduced my emotions to heartache.
Were her tears the reflection of the past.
Or the uncertainty of tomorrows embrace.

That moment stood at the edge of time.
Encompassed denial of faded ecstasy.
Living for the moment, but not for today.
I slowly closed the chapter of my life.
Then suddenly realized the book was filled with blank pages.

A diary of heartache lost in a storm of innocence.
My last entry was upon a faded dream.
I picked my face up off the ground.
An began to try, and find myself within myself again.

She softly said goodbye.
Silhouetted within a auburn evening sky.
True poetry in motion while tenderly breaking my heart.
Some moments in life should be lived for only that moment.
Then with time gently forgotten.
