The World That I Live
I've traveled this road Sometimes I think too long And looking back, Almost seems Like an old country song. The memories and emotions That pave this great road, Built by the tears And sweat from my soul. My friendships built bridges O'er the pitfalls I made As past loves create The flowers that stayed. Some dreams paint the mountains That loom in my midst, The sorrows I've felt Make the clouds and the mist. Though my journey's not over There's a world to be made I see the horizon In hopes that won't fade. There's no road here Not traveled And no sins unatoned, Though I've rambled about Through some hardships of stone. Well one thing is certain I've learned on this trip, We all paint a world With a life that we give. Fadedspirit 10/15/2008 |
