Andy was supposed to ask for you to pray for my good nights sleep, I somehow got texts all night and didn't get a good nights sleep, I'm holding you all responsible... NO PRAYERS FOR YOU...(In my best soup nazi voice) Don't you hate the time differences? |

My brother's ex wife 1st cousin has a cockatiel with a sore wing too. Can we get prayers for her recovery also ? Thanks! hmmmmm....I hope there is not some kind of "sore wing" epidemic breaking out here. |

I'm inda tired, can someone pray for me? Will offer prayers and sacrifice a cigarette for you! |

If I'm tired and you pray for me and you're tired and I pray for you, don't we just kinda break even? Do either of us feel better? And, if we do, does that mean we could've just prayed for ourselves?

Well how about using prayer for things like "feeding the hungry of the world, sheltering the homeless, caring for the mentally ill", etc., all the good people that pray for themselves and never seem to spare a thought for others. One of the points someone made in another thread was that people have gotten their sight back through prayer, my reply was so have pagans (praying to more than one God), Satanists and Atheists (who don't pray at all). Seems to me like prayer is more for the mental health of the person praying than a way of reaching some deity. |

And, however it works, it doesn't really matter to me. I just don't usually ask people to pray for me as I feel I do okay on my own. I'd rather you buy me a beer than say a prayer for me. |
