curious to know your opinions as to the person within who would write

i could do whatever with it as i wished for they gave it to

A friend is like a flower,
a rose to be exact,
Or maybe like a brand new gate
that never comes unlatched.
A friend is like an owl,
both beautiful and wise.
Or perhaps a friend is like a ghost,
whose spirit never dies.
A friend is like those blades of grass
you can never mow,
standing straight, tall, and proud
in a perfect little row.
A friend is like a heart that goes
strong until the end.
Where would we be in this world
if we didn't have a friend.

Sound's like a very good friend to me,and good friends are real hard to
find might want to hold onto this one

well, i want to borrow your poem? is that permissible? i have a friend
that i had for 40 years, and so we had a fight

duffy i will say ok.. for im sure this giving person that wrote it to me
would love to make a difference in alotta peoples life... ill take that
