Not sure if this goes in this forum, but what does it mean when you get a friend request? Even as I type this I feel like a complete idiot...

When I send out a friend invitation, that's just what it is. I usually send them to someone I've chatted with or volleyed with on a forum, and found myself getting along well with them. I figure, if I get along that well with them, why not extend a friend invitation?
