Do you think its acceptable for a guy thats 31 to go out on a date with a girl thats 18 (but in college)? And she looks a lot older than that.

I was told the rule is 1/2 your age plus 6 so at 31... 15.5+6= 21-22yo

If she actually is 18 then she is legaly and adult but I can't see that with that range of age that they would have that much in common. It depends on the 31 year old and what he is after on the date. If it is a relationship other than friendship eventually someone is going to get dumped or used. Or long term down the road someone will out live the other.

My first husband the man I loved and adored til the day he died was 24 years older than me. Age is a number, to me it is more important to what is in common with each other. I for one have dated way younger and I have dated way older. Pffftt.... just a number and I honestly don't think it is anyone elses business. JMO
