I looked for a river

found a pond

Around the pond
I moved along

stepping over
an ocean

I moved a long

or just a wave

I'm not quite shore

Peddling
Puddling
running
no more

Unshore weather

they could use a splash

the ocean gives up
on it's path
when it's finger tips tap
the sands
that are shore
they are shore
darkening
merging
hardening
fine
pebbles
coarse
as many are
and will be
smelling the waves
it's like perfume
for the showerless
hourglass shapes
a star
fish bait
makes good bait
for fish
but these waters
can storm up
in a Hurry
as if a few drinks can
make my words blurry
a few more, I
surf this ocean
I once stepped over

looking for the river
I
I never found
