As she takes the very last pill
Begins to drift into sleep
She knows that she's going to hell
But prays that her soul God keeps

Turmoil throughout her childhood
The beatings, harsh words, the tears
Continuing in each moment in life
The only way to erase those years

Darkness and demons have brought her here
Tainted her heart with gloom
Barely aware at this point
A message from the other room

"Momma, it's a girl!
Come visit for awhile,
Such a beauty
Please hurry, please come."

She begs the Lord to give her breath to this child
And asks..."Dear God...What have I done?"
