Topic: My job sucks !!!!

I transcribe medical dictation. One major drawback to my job is when I type something bad about someone I know. I just ran across a note on a friend, hadn't seen him or his wife in months, but he has lung cancer. He is younger than me, too. This job can really suck at times. Damn!!!

Sorry about that Marie. Seems like there is way too much cancer afloat these days. I know like 10 people with the affliction .... sucks hard.

I know, cancer seems to be running rampant. Years ago found out a friend had ovarian cancer that way too. It is so scary. Thanks for your kind thoughts.

Sorry to hear that just feel blessed that you have a job with the economy the way it is.

Thanks for the support. That is so true, Gypsy. You have it much worse than me though, you deal with them face-to-face. I only type the notes. Guess I am lucky I only run into notes on friends periodically, especially since this is a small town. I think about the patients every time I go to the nursing home to see dad.
