One or two countries in Europe have banned them already. It will happen in a couple of years here too. I have nylon re-useable bags, but I seem to forget them, even when I have them in the car.

Do you use your old bags, or the ones they sell at you local Supermarket, so you can get a discount  I have never heard of a supermarket doing that.   No it's in CO too. We do it at King Soopers .... .05 a bag eh? |

The one good thing about our store, is you get a discount on their gas, if you get a certain amount of points  Yep we get that too .. neener neener

I have cloth bags that I use when I remember them. They hold about 3 times the stuff that plastic bags hold and our stores give a 3 - 5 cent discount per bag for using them. Problem is, I keep forgetting them

Stores charge for bags?! No kidding. Wow. And Gypsy's store has her bagging her own. Wow. Doesn't that make things more difficult for the elderly and disabled? |

At the local Meijers if you go through the self scan, you have to bag your own. And about 1/3 are are self scan in this store. Oleson's have a few self scan lanes.
Elderly and disabled can go with the regular checkers, and get their stuff bagged. |
