Dad might be improving, he seemed more like his grumpy old self today.

I'm so tired my bones ache. I have a sore throat and a cough. I was thinking about my trip to Canon this month and the thought occurred to me... if anything happened to me who would take care of them? I almost thought about not going.

I've been living in this small town for so long, the big city of Pueblo even scares me. And that highway to Canon is a nightmare. I used to drive it every day to work and back when I lived in Pueblo.

If this cold does not get any better, I may have my cousin just pick up my paintings from the show (after I win first place that is) and cancel the trip.

Wow a weird virus going around here and both me and my sister Karen have been very sick and trying to manage caring for Mom and Dad at the same time.

Dad seems to be getting better, yet he is sometimes very grumpy. It is hard to help someone to bed when he can't remember that he can't walk.

I am determined to get back to health before the 10th of October when I can go to Pueblo and Canon City to see how I made out at the art show there.

I entered two of my best paintings, both best of show winners in this county. The prizes are good money prizes and it will be nice to get out of town for the weekend.

This virus I have acts like food poisoning with added cold symptoms. I finally broke down and took some Pepto Bismal.
It helps me feel human but I still can't eat anything.

I have only eaten rice and oatmeal for three days, and today I am only drinking lemon water.

I'll let you know how I do in the art show next week.
